Is the Practical AI Accelerator right for our organization?
Yes, if you’re ready to start putting AI to work and want an AWS-based foundation to do it safely, regardless of what you’ve done before. We have experience with complex healthcare organizations, and we scope each engagement accordingly.
What makes Practical Acceleration's approach unique?
We build your team’s own capacity to think about, evaluate, and design agentic AI. That lets you keep developing the internal capability to build and/or exercise effective oversight over vendors. We believe the full benefit of AI to your organization comes when the thinking happens close to the work, rather than being outsourced and handed back over the fence.
What will you need from our team?
At minimum, an executive sponsor and a technical lead. We conduct stakeholder discovery as part of the engagement, and the right use case owner will depend on the use case you choose.
Is the engagement remote, in-person, or hybrid?
Any of the three. Smaller engagements can run entirely remotely, while more customization, a larger group of stakeholders, or a complex go-live generally calls for more frequent in-person work. During scoping, we’ll explore what delivery model is the best fit for your goals.
How long does the Practical AI Accelerator engagement last?
We aim to help you deliver an AI agent to production in 12 weeks. However, we understand the need to work through requirements gathering and design, stakeholder reviews and approvals, and software and infrastructure integrations. We want you to be successful and continue to scale, so we take that sizing work seriously. The engagement is designed to work through your key blockers, and to leave you facing fewer of them on your next use case.
Do we need to be on AWS already?
No. If you’re already on AWS, we provide guidance on integrating with your existing governance. If you’re new to AWS, the architecture we deliver includes everything you need. If you prefer a fully managed environment, we can design a custom offering with other AWS partners.
Who will be staffing the engagement?

What are typical use cases for agentic AI?
Typical starting points include classifying and routing incoming documents, reconciling information across systems, and drafting responses for human review. Agentic AI opens up this kind of work because agents can read documents in whatever form they arrive and apply policies written in plain language, rather than following a rigid flowchart. Every organization’s pain points are different, but our approach is the same: start with a small workflow you can measure and optimize, then grow, rather than taking on an entire end-to-end process at once.
Should we consider the Strategy add-on?
If differing views among your senior leaders are stalling the work, or could, then yes. Different leaders bring different, valuable perspectives on the risks and opportunities of agentic AI, but early in adoption those perspectives can keep use cases from advancing to production. The Strategy add-on brings a partner and former healthcare CTO into the engagement to surface concerns and build the alignment the initiative needs.
Should we consider the Adoption add-on?
It depends on the use case and the people it affects. If you’re managing skepticism or negative sentiment, or the implementation will change workflows broadly, we recommend it. Adoption goes more smoothly when people understand the change, have what they need, and are heard. The add-on is staffed by an experienced healthcare change management leader.
